Valleyview - Community Services
Adult Day Program
The Elgin-St. Thomas Adult Day Program operates five days per week from Valleyview. This program serves a variety of populations from young adults, to dementia sufferers, and the frail elderly. This program offers caregiver relief and assists with socialization for those persons who, due to disease process or age, have become isolated. The Adult Day program offers the following services:
- Transportation to & from program
- Full course lunch
- Whirlpool bath (Monday to Friday)
- Activity program and games
- Hot wax therapy
- Hair care
- Supportive care & supervision
- Assistance with activities of daily living
- Fellowship & support

V.O.N Foot Care
Each month, the V.O.N. provides professional foot care to the residents of Valleyview and the community.

Application to these Community Services is made through the Community Care Access Centre. Each of these programs charge a fee for their services.
We are excited to announce that construction of the Gateway Roundabout at the Sunset Drive and Wellington Road intersection will be starting the week of March 27th with completion by the end of June.
Effective March 21, 2017 the Community Recycling Centre will be returning to its full time operating hours. The site will be open Tuesday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m to 3 p.m. Household hazardous waste is accepted on Saturdays only.

The First Avenue Widening project between Talbot Street and Steele Street will start the week of March 13 and be completed in June.
